The belt dryer is a cross-flow, continuous drying equipment used for drying sheet-like, strip-like, and granular materials with good air permeability. It is particularly suitable for materials with high moisture content and temperature restrictions, such as dehydrated vegetables and Chinese herbal slice extracts. This series of dryers offers advantages including fast drying speed, high evaporation intensity, and good product quality. For paste-like dehydrated filter cakes, they can also be dried after granulation or shaping into rods.
Working Principle:
Material is evenly spread onto the mesh belt by a feeder. The mesh belt, typically made of stainless steel wire mesh with 12-60 mesh, is driven through the dryer by a transmission device. The dryer consists of several units, each with independent hot air circulation. Some exhaust gas is discharged by a dedicated humid air fan, and the exhaust is controlled by a regulating valve. Hot air passes through the material-laden mesh belt either from bottom to top or top to bottom, facilitating heat and mass transfer to remove moisture from the material. The mesh belt moves slowly, with its operating speed adjustable freely based on the material temperature. After drying, the finished product continuously falls into a collection device. The upper and lower circulation units can be flexibly configured according to user needs, and the number of units can also be selected as required.
